2023 Intentions

I am not a fan of New Year's resolutions, I feel like I am setting myself up to fail. They just do not work for me and from what I can see they do not work for most people.

Why is that?

To start with I think we all love a fresh start and we go a wee bit over the top with our resolutions. I know I am not able to suddenly start completely changing my eating habits, adding intense workouts, reading, meditating, and everything else we promise ourselves we will do.

So we quickly find ourselves overwhelmed and "failing" and I don't know about you but then I am just mad at myself!

I did make big changes last year and felt proud of myself. I maybe a personal trainer, yogi and holistic nutritionist BUT I am human. A combo of menopause, covid stresses, a fibromyalgia diagnosis led to weight gain that made me feel yucky.

What I did in 2022 was implement changes in stages throughout the year. There were ups and downs but by the end of the year I had lost 25lbs, I had developed consistency with my workouts and I feel a million times better. And yes that is my pics from last year Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec 5, 2022!!

The main keys for me were creating accountability and only adding the next step when I felt like I had the last step under control.

You need to find the process that works for you as we are all individuals and have completely different lives.

I am always here to support you with your goals!
